Scarlotta Help file
The Scarlotta formulas is loosely based on the following formula.
The formula has been generalized to
where Q is some operator +.-,*,/,^ and fn1 is the first function and fn2 is the second. Fn1 operates on the pixel value while fn2 is applied to fn1 of z.
For ScarlottaUFM
The first option you have is whether to invert the mapping or not. If you invert the mapping then you are iterating 1/z and if you don’t then you are iterating z. It’s a veritable gold mine of spirals if you invert the mapping.
The second option is to choose the first operator Q in the equation.
The third option is to choose the second operator Q in the equation.
The final option is to set the bailout. Deeper zooms need higher bailouts and lower bailouts hide detail.
You can pick and choose fn1 and fn2 by changing the <Function of Z> and the <Function of fn(Z)> drop downs.
For ScarlottaUFJ
The first three options are the same,
The forth option allows you to manually pick the Julia coordinates. I highly recommend using the switch feature.
The fifth option is the bailout and applies to this formula as it applied to ScarlottaUFM .
